HOOSIERS FIGHT CLUB

The Hoosier Fight Club(HFC) hosted a grand slam event by holding their fourth fight card at the Gary Steel Yard, better known as the home to the Gary Railcats baseball team. It was an unbelievable night of fights, from the ammys on up, and The HFC brought in top tier talent for the fans to feast their eyes on.
MAIN EVENT - Kolosci vs. Fioravanti
Even John Kolosci looked utterly stunned as he beat American Top Team(ATT) member Luigi Fioravanti in decimating style. After about a thirty second feeling out period, Kolosci caught Fioravanti with a right uppercut/hook mix and sent the Italian Assassin to the mat. Kolosci did not wait. He pounced on the dazed Fioravanti and sunk in a rear naked choke before the first minute of the first round expired. When asked about the extent of his career, the elated thirty-five-year-old winner said, “I figure I can do this for about another twenty years or so.” Kolosci appeared unbeatable with both LA Boxing and Gilbert Grappling in his corner.
CO MAIN EVENT - Gomez vs. Polley
Although there were several excellent fights on the HFC card, nobody laid it on the line like light heavyweights Anthony Gomez(Team Torres) and Lew Polley(ATT), earning these two warriors fight of the night. Each man came into the cage to bang, and bang they did. Gomez and Polley traded leather most of the fight, each of them dishing out and absorbing the maximum punishment. Neither one would go down or retreat under heavy fire.
Off their feet, and Polley scoring the few takedowns in the match, Gomez was able to completely neutralize Polley’s top game with a slippery guard. Gomez was also able to bring it back to their feet without taking major damage.
Gomez eked out the split decision and won the biggest fight of his career.
HONORABLE MENTION - Sampo vs. Rosenbaum
Josh Sampo and Jake Rosenbaum put on a show at 125, and Rosenbaum could not leave the cage hanging his head. It was back and forth MMA action as these two flyweights put on a clinic. It wasn’t Rosenbaum’s night, however, as Sampo picked up the pace in the third round, began to dominate, and then closed the show with a choke.
AMMY SPOTLIGHT - Wayne vs. Slabaugh
Nick Wayne just looks like a bad dude, and proved he was at the expense of his opponent, Brandon Slabaugh. After stalking Slabaugh around the ring for the first three minutes, and battering him with his fists the whole time, Wayne eventually caught Slabaugh early in the second. There is no telling which strike or movement did the damage, but Slabaugh asked the referee to stop the fight due to a broken foot. LA Boxing member Nick Wayne looked very well conditioned, very well-schooled, and totally prepared.
